Taking over our kitchen for May are Scandinavian-inspired smoked fish experts Allihopa. Since launching last year, these guys have been producing some truly great food & are now set for their first long-term residency with us launching on Tuesday 3rd May. Here’s what you can expect:
“We are Allihopa, smoked fish producers from Norfolk who have taken inspiration from Scandinavian cuisine. We specialise in producing cold smoked Norfolk trout from our hand built smokehouse & have been slinging food on the streets of London as members of Kerb for the past year. Our first month long residency at The King & Co will showcase our love for smoked fish, seafood & contemporary Scandinavian cuisine in a new expanded menu with both small & large plates, deserts & brunch.
With a nod to Scandinavia we serve our fish with vibrant pickles & piquant sauces alongside other dishes such as salted pork belly, smoked mackerel scotch eggs & Scandinavian classics such as Skagenrora, Pyttipana & Jansson’s Temptation. The food encompasses elements of saltiness, sweetness, acidity, smoke and heat for a complete tasting experience.
