Taking over our kitchen for January & February are pie-slingers extraordinaire, MYPIE.
MYPIE was founded by trained chef Chris Brumby in 2014, who was frustrated by the poor quality mass-produced pies often served at football matches & music festivals & passionate to prove that a streetfood pie could taste just as great as those made at home. Winner of 5 medals at the British Pie Awards in 2016, MYPIE’s “epic pies and awesome sides” have built up a loyal cult following, with regular sell-out successful sessions in Streetdots’ Broadgate Circle lineup plus guest trader spots at Southbank Centre Food Market, KERB events around London, & numerous weddings across the UK. Now the crowd-pleasing staples from their vintage Bedford van will be joined by a host of hearty new dishes throughout January & February for MYPIE’s first extended residency.
As well as a daily menu consisting of their signature pies & sides, there will be stews, salads & a range of tasty bar snacks to try. Think Scotch Eggs, Sausage Rolls & Baked Brie. Saturdays will see a full-on brunch menu served from 12pm-4pm with dishes such as Parmesan & Spring Onion Scrambled Eggs on Toast or Buttermilk Pancakes with Grilled Banana, Salted Caramel & Yoghurt. Then on Sundays MYPIE will be serving up sumptuous Sunday Roasts. A first here at The King & Co & something we are extremely excited about! We expect these to be incredibly popular & recommend that you book a table to avoid disappointment.
These two months will be full of the perfect comfort food to help see you through the colder months. What more could you want when it is cold outside than pie & mash?!
