Streetfood heavyweight Dogtown London will take on hot new contender Slap & Pickle this Winter in a thrilling first double residency. The two month kitchen takeover will see heavenly hotdogs & smashing burgers go head to head in the ring, coupled with the talented duo’s amazing array of homemade pickles sauces. All cooked to order and made using free-range meat from trusted producers the Rare Breed Meat Company, the hearty hotdogs & juicy patties will showcase an eclectic lineup of homemade pickles, relishes & sauces – ranging from a modern twist on the traditional American with sweet dill pickle & house sauce; to spicy Mexican with chuck steak chilli, beer-cheese sauce, sour cream, coriander & pickled chillies; & cool Indian with mango ketchup and lime pickle.
Since their launch in 2011, Dogtown London has earned their title as one of the best-loved and most well-known popup vendors, & are no strangers to a kitchen takeover. Game-changers on the festival food scene & one of the country’s very first streetfood traders, the British Streetfood Awards finalists have their achieved sell-out success with their trademark heavenly hotdogs at events everywhere from London to Leeds and even Lisbon.
Slap & Pickle is the brainchild of Ed Jones, self-taught upstart chef who earned his stripes ably assisting streetfood heroes for the last five years. With a track record for innovation, he’s created many sensational dishes on behalf of his bosses in the past, & now it’s his turn to step into the spotlight with his phenomenal unique burger.
